Your role will involve applying our Active Case Management strategy to ensure timely and accurate claim resolutions, while coordinating vocational rehabilitation strategies to achieve sustainable return-to-work outcomes. You will uphold our Claims Promise by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining clear and empathetic communication, and managing risks effectively.Reports To: Claims Team ManagerDuration: 6-month fixed term contractLocation: Auckland CBD, Fanshawe StStart Date: January 2025Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Assess and manage Income Protection claims in alignment with our Claims Promise.Apply the Active Case Management strategy, relevant legislation, and company policies.Provide high-quality customer service and respond to queries via phone, email, and written correspondence.Proactively manage claims, including risk assessment and the implementation of rehabilitation strategies.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including medical practitioners, financial advisors, and legal representatives.Document all communications and decisions, and present cases for review as needed.Ensure compliance with all health and safety and risk management policies.Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat You'll Bring:Minimum 1-2 years of claims handling experience.Strong understanding of insurance industry practices.Excellent negotiation, conflict management, and relationship management skills.Relevant qualifications in insurance, health science, or related fields are desirable.Strong relationship-building and networking skills.Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to manage conflict and handle pressure.Why Join Us?
