Case Manager, Auckland Permanent Full Time Te Haeata / The Opportunity As a Case Manager you will work with a small team responsible for the successful operation of the Tribunal.
You will be coming into a fast-changing environment that will require a high level of agility and resiliency. You will be able to communicate confidently with Judges and Tribunal Members, lawyers, parties and other agencies.
Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Case Management: You will be responsible for your cases from the beginning to the end of the process including:Receiving and processing documentsProviding excellent and highly organised case management processes to ensure cases are heard in a timely and effortless mannerLiaising with the legal profession and parties regarding steps in the proceedingsProviding up-to-date information to Judges and parties of the status of the casesEnsuring case files and electronic case management system are in order and up-to-dateCompleting actions required following hearings (including proof-reading of the judgments)Court Taking: You will help facilitate the smooth operation of the Court, including:Introducing Judges and Tribunal Members (in English and Te Reo Maori)Working closely with the Judges and Tribunal Members in the courtroom and chambersWorking closely with hearing participants, counsel and partiesGeneral administration of the TribunalYou may also be required to travel as part of this roleCustomer Service: We provide a wide range of customer services. You will work to answer customer queries via face-to-face, phone, or email interactions.General Administration: You will be an integral part of the successful administration of our offices and the Tribunals we support.
O pukenga / Skills and Experience You will be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills, quality decision-making, be solutions-focused and have the personal confidence and resilience to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
To be successful, you will need to be: Detail-oriented and observant; Courts and Tribunals have many different processes, and case information needs to be accurateSelf-aware; our participants are unique, and you will be confident working, individually and as a team, across various situationsAble to multi-task; some of our processes are repetitive, so you will be able to manage conflicting priorities and move from one task to another quicklyWilling to learn; legislation and processes are always changing, and you can adapt and maintain knowledge capitalResilient; as a Case Manager, you might work on sensitive cases, sometimes at high volumeMatauranga / Education A tertiary qualification or relevant work experience is an advantage.
You will have strong interpersonal skills that will support your work with the Tribunal and will be capable of dealing with the legal profession and self-represented parties.
An ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds is essential. Well-developed written and oral communication skills are prerequisites.
A full driving license and ability to travel is desirable.

Utu a-tau / Salary The remuneration band for this role is $58,729 to $80,794. The appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
