Currently we are in need of 3 Carpenters in line with our increasing projects at hand.Your duties may include but not limited to:studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation proceduresordering and selecting timbers and materials, and preparing layoutscutting materials, and assembling and nailing cut and shaped partserecting framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards and verifying trueness of structuresnailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window framesassembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to installcutting wood jointsmay construct concrete formworkmay repair existing fittingsmay work with plastic laminates, perspex and metalsTo be successful in this role you• At least 3 years relevant work experience or Level 4 qualification in relevant field is required.• Be a person with a detailed eye for safety issues• Clean police record• Be able to work in different sitesIf you are willing to work at Wellington on a long-term basis and have the necessary attributes above you are welcome to apply for the position by emailing your CV (including contact details and visa status) to us.Applicants for this position with NZ citizenship or residence visa with relevant work experience and/or qualification will be given preference.Appropriate work visa is required for non-resident/citizen applicants.
