Carpenter

Job tasks may involve:
Cut timbers lumber and/or panelling to specified dimensions and drill holes
Smooth and sand surfaces using power sanders and other tools
General assistance to our carpenters/joiners in their daily work
Assist in general carpentry work and preparation as directed
Read instructions/drawing as per specification to produce a high quality work
Ensure the final product is of high quality and as per customer specifications
Loading/unloading materials and receiving goods whenever required
Make sure the workplace is clean and properly maintained
Upgrade yourself regularly with new technology and techniques
Help in installing structures and fixtures such as kitchens windows doorscupboards moulding etc
Ensure that the job is completed on time within budget and with minimalsupervision
Communicating to the relevant parties
Follow health and safety when performing any duties and anyother applicable policies
Any other relevant tasks assigned to you from time to time
Skills and competencies required:
Able to pass a pre employment drug and criminal check if required
Physically fit capable of heavy lifting
Able to provide two positive workplace references
Able to pass Ministry of justice criminal record check
Able to work rostered shifts including in the evenings and weekends
At least two years of proven relevant experience or
A relevant qualification
Pay rate $26.00-$30.00 per hour in commensurate with experience and skills
Minimum 30 hours of work per week
