Carpenter

AFA is a one-stop service company providing you with a full variety of maintenance and renovation requirements. We are on a growth trajectory and expanding our team with vacancies for 2 carpenters. In this role you will work on a range of building sites and be responsible for cutting, framing, interpretation of blueprints and a wide range of carpentry and construction tasks. Duties: Reading and interpreting blueprints of drawings and specifications Determining materials required, measurements and equipment procedures Effectively utilising methods, tools and equipment used in carpentry Cutting, shaping and smoothing lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements and assembling Repairing existing fittings, structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wall board and other materials  Building exterior wall shields, window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items Validating genuineness of structures, carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where needed Maintaining safety standards What are we looking for: Someone who can consistently show up on time for early morning starts - you will need to demonstrate you have been able to do this successfully in your work history Minimum 3 years of relevant experience No health & safety issues in the past and be compliance-focussed Excellent time management Full clean driver's licence and own reliable transport to arrive on site Be able to clear a technical interview with our site manager If this sounds like the role for you, forward your CV and cover letter.
