Carpenter

We're doing construction and development in Auckland region and we are now hiring several carpenters in Auckland. It will be an advantage if you have relevant NZ experience and can attend an on-site interview to demonstrate your skills. What you'll do Prepare project work procedure and determine dimensions and materials required Read and understand specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans Plan the order and selection of timbers and other materials, and prepare layouts Shape and cut materials to specified measurements, using hand or power tools Assemble and nail prepared parts to form frameworks or structures for constructing buildings or internal fittings Erect roof and window framing, build internal walls and partitions, make staircases and layout sub-flooring/floorboards Build and install stairways, doors window boards and fascia panels Remove and repair existing fittings, conduct renovation and maintenance service for the wood structures What you'll bring At least three years of solid relevant experience Or New Zealand Level 4 qualification in Carpentry or relevant qualifications/certificates Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions Be physically fit and willing to work hard Be knowledgeable about building and safety regulations. Good eye for detail and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively To be considered for this role, you must have a clean criminal record, be eligible to work lawfully in New Zealand and be available to start immediately.
