Job Title: Carpenter
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine materials, dimensions & installation procedures
Select correct timbers and materials
Prepare the layout of the project
Cut timber, materials, assemble and install parts
Erect frames and trusses
Install wallboards and floorboards
Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
Verify trueness of structure
Interior lining and finish
Inspect places and conduct repairs, maintenance, or renovations
Ensure workmanship and observe health and safety regulations
Any other duties the employer may reasonably require the employee to perform
Pay: Minimum $24/hour - Maximum $26/hour
Guaranteed hours of work per week: Permanent full time - Minimum 30 hours
Requirements for the job:
At least 3 years of carpenter work experience
Be physically fit and healthy
Full time availability - can work on weekends
No criminal record
Candidates need to be NZ citizen/resident
