Carpenter

AWF are looking for experienced Carpenters who have a minimum of three years' experience for 5 positions across the Auckland region.

Our clients have major construction and infrastructure projects in the Auckland region, so the work requires very capable people. You'll also need a good command of English both written and verbal to communicate with sub-contractors, clients, and internal trade's people effectively.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in: Minimum three years' experience ideally within the construction industryReading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the required installation methodTaking measurements and calculating the size/amount of materials required for the jobCuttingmaterials to desired length, assemblying and nailing cut and shaped materialsBuilding and assembling window frames, doors, sub-flooring, floorboards, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed itemsAssembly of pre cut wood materials to form structures and fittings to be ready for installationAssembly of furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designatedRepair work where required and work with plastic laminates, perspex and metals What's in it for you?
