Carpenter - Civil

Excavat are a well-established and local Taranaki Civil Construction company based in Hawera. They cover everything in the civil industry such as ground/earth works, drainage, site preps, effluent systems and roading in Taranaki and Whanganui. Excavat have the reputation of partnering with you on all of your earthmoving needs and are known for their reliable service, exceptional quality, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

They are now looking for an Experienced Carpenter to join their elite team. A typical day will require a variety of tasks to be undertaken, including a wide range of formwork carpentry and general construction tasks such as site set outs, steel work, and retaining walls. You will have experience with GPS and surveying.

This is a full-time permanent role of around 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional nights out of town required on projects away from home.

To be suitable for this role, you will have: Proven civil construction experience
Hard-working attitude
Strong time-management skills
A clear understanding of civil construction drawings, processes, and techniques
Clean, full license
Strong health and safety awareness
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Ability to lift heavy objects and operate hand tools safely

This role is best suited to someone who has a can-do attitude and a strong background in civil construction. You must have the ability to adhere to company values, procedures, and Health and Safety requirements while also ensuring great customer service and respect.
