He Korero mo te turanga - About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Planned Care Services Manager. This pivotal role requires a candidate with exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for improving patient care in healthcare services. A clinical background is desirable but not essential. The Planned Care Services Manager will play a vital role in overseeing and optimising the delivery of planned care services, ensuring a seamless patient journey. This includes coordination within the region and between external healthcare providers. Key responsibilities: Utilise expertise to guide and support the planning and delivery of patient care across specialties delivering planned care services within the healthcare system. Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of initiatives to optimise planned care services, aligning with the Governments Health Targets. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, government agencies, and community partners, to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement. Report on and present data using the QLIK platform related to planned care and Faster Cancer Treatment services, ensuring accuracy and relevance to support decision-making processes. Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and finances, to support the delivery of planned care services while optimising patient outcomes. Implement quality assurance measures, including data validation, to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of planned care services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Government Health Targets for patient wait times and oversee the timely and accurate reporting of data to relevant authorities. Provide exceptional leadership and direction to the planned care services team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
