Care Centre Manager

Details of the offer

Company Description: Summerset in the Vines is a beautifully landscaped and modern village, nestled on the slopes of Te Mata Peak, in an idyllic position right amongst world-renowned vineyards.
We're on the lookout for an inspirational Care Centre Manager who is enthusiastic about leading a foundational team of Nurses and Caregivers who require continuation of great leadership to provide quality care in our Care Centre. This is a full-time role with working hours from Monday - Friday. On occasion, you may be required on-call.
The estimated start for this role is early 2025!
At Summerset, from the moment we start developing a village, to when our residents call it home, it's the passion and dedication of our people that brings our villages to life. We are one team united by being part of something bigger – to bring the best of life to our residents.
As leaders in a growing industry, we offer not just a job, but a journey of growth and opportunity. We also take part in every aspect of our villages. We are the developers, the designers, the contractors, the operators, and the owners. This means there are endless opportunities to learn and develop and as we grow, you can grow with us.
The way we work is guided by our values - One Team, Strong Enough to Care, and Strive to Be the Best. We know it takes a collective effort to bring a village to life and help it thrive, so Summerset is a place where everyone's uniqueness and diversity can shine.
When you're part of the Summerset team, you belong to a place where your work has real impact, who you are is fully embraced, and where your career flourishes.
Job Description: Role responsibilities
Reporting into the Village Manager, the Care Centre will be your domain. You'll effectively be the business lead, responsible for all staffing and budgeting. Other responsibilities of the role will include:
Management and development of your direct reports with full accountability for all aspects of recruitment, coaching, performance, and recognition.
Maintain and build wholesome relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders, including being the primary point of contact for at times difficult situations.
Support appropriate clinical decisions, including recognition of when it is appropriate to seek additional clinical input.
Plan and coordinate audits, implementation of policy changes, and liaison with NASC, DHB, and other relevant external agencies.
Foster an inviting team culture and drive collaboration across the village.
Qualifications: About you
Your experience working in a clinical environment will have armed you with a strong knowledge of the care industry, including Te Whatu Ora standards. You'll have a genuine passion for driving team culture and making a positive impact on people's lives. This role could be the next step up in your clinical career as you seek a management position; alternatively, this role may suit a well-experienced care manager who is seeking their next challenge.
This role calls upon a natural people leader who can inspire, empathize, and recognize the hard work along the way. As a well-practiced manager, you'll be no stranger to multi-tasking and can easily juggle the competing demands of any given day with a cool head.
Additional Information: Why Summerset?
For a passionate leader, this will be the exciting challenge you crave. You'll get excellent remuneration, the support of a friendly team, and all the satisfaction of making a real difference in people's lives.
