This role will be working with our RIDSAS service, which is a specialised service that provides support for both male and female tangata (Care recipient) with high or complex needs. These tangatas have been directed by the courts under the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act and will need a high level of 1:1 care to help them on their rehabilitation journey. This will include:Assisting with physical & personal care ensuring good personal hygiene such as washing, showeringSupport with cooking, household/property cleaning and other maintenance to keep the home a healthy & safe placeAdministering medicationDriving to appointments, gym classes, and the supermarketVariety of other duties which enable them to have a somewhat independent lifestyleIt is important you can work to a rotating roster including weekends.
