Cardiologist – Part-time 0.8 FTEIn response to healthcare demands at the largest and fastest growing population of all Health Districts in New Zealand, Waitemata experiences significant growth year on year in our people, services and facilities.Waitemata cardiology service provides high quality acute and elective cardiology services at North Shore and Waitakere hospitals through inpatient and procedural facilities at both sites, with CTCA, cardiac MRI, diagnostic angiograms and coronary intervention currently provided at the North Shore site.We are now offering a part-time permanent role to a cardiologist with proven expertise in invasive imaging / coronary intervention to support the demand for service growth in these areas.You will be joining our team of 18 specialist cardiology consultants, contributing to outpatient clinics with rostered weeks for on call and ward consults at both North Shore and Waitakere hospital sites.Our consultants are a dedicated, patient-focused team who work closely with their support disciplines (sonographers, nurses, physiologists and radiographers) to assist with training and maintain an excellent quality of service delivery.Key skills required are primarily interventional based skills supporting the Cardiovascular Unit alongside 4 other interventional cardiologists.The successful candidate will have or will be eligible for provisional vocational/vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and hold cardiology FRACP or equivalent qualification.Closing Date: 20th Dec 2024Job code: WDHB19291
