Location: Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital Service/Department: Cardiology, Medical Outpatient Department Contract: Full-time, Permanent About the role: As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a vital role in our Cardiology Department by conducting and interpreting adult transthoracic cardiac ultrasound examinations (echocardiograms) across various settings, including inpatient and outpatient facilities.
You will support our team in delivering patient-centred care, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compassion.

About our team: Join our dynamic Cardiology team in providing exceptional patient care at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, Te Matau a Maui Hawkes Bay.

Key Responsibilities: Perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms in hospital-based clinics and rural/community outreach clinics.
Conduct stress echocardiograms and utilize echocardiogram contrast as required.
Assist Cardiologists with transoesophageal echocardiograms.
Pursue professional development opportunities and contribute to educational initiatives within the department.
Maintain compliance with the Treaty of Waitangi principles.
Qualifications and Experience: Postgraduate qualification acceptable for registration with the Medical Radiation Technologist Board (MRTB) as a sonographer.
Proficiency in performing echocardiogram procedures to a high standard.
Ability to generate accurate and timely electronic reports.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
