About the Role
CardioScan Aotearoa provides a comprehensive range of cardiorespiratory diagnostic tests to ensure early and accurate diagnosis of heart, lung, and sleep-related conditions. We collaborate closely with health professionals across New Zealand and operate from our New Plymouth, NZ office.
We are currently seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to become a vital part of our close-knit clinical team. In this role, you will utilize our innovative cloud software, Beatbox, to allocate, analyse, review, and process ECGs, BP readings, and Holter Monitor studies as well as provide clinical support for exercise tolerance tests. Your keen attention to detail will be essential as you manage incoming data, ensuring that all outputs are of the highest quality and accuracy. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing timelines to meet our customers' SLAs and expectations.
This is a full-time position with the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement, combining time at our New Plymouth office with the option to work from home.
Key responsibilities
Primary duty would be to undertake fitting, analysis and review of all Ambulatory Holters studies, which includes providing initial analysis of Holter studies, and provide preliminary findings of Holter study with attention to detail
Provide Clinical Lead for Exercise Tolerance Test (ETT) providing monitoring of patient during procedure, report preliminary findings of ETT with attention to detail. Interact with reporting Cardiologist reporting the ETT
Fitting of other clinical tests
ECG
Ambulatory Blood Pressure studies.
Spirometry
Sleep Studies (training will be provided)
Independently undertake operational responsibilities
Independently apply professional and specialised knowledge, skills and judgment when performing novel, complex and critical tasks
Actively contribute to the development of professional knowledge and skills as demonstrated by positive impacts on service delivery and quantifiable/measurable improvements in service outcomes
Perform across a number of recognised specialties within the service and ensure targets are met
Provide support for the efficient, cost effective and timely delivery of service
Some secondary duties may include processing ECG and BP reports, if required
Manage turnaround times of all reports to meet customer SLAs
Assist with enhancing the quality assurance (QA) processes.

Thorough understanding of cardiac terminology
Have an Associate Diploma or equivalent University degree in science or equivalent
Experience in Cardiac Analysis within a similar work environment
Hold valid Intermediate Life Support/Advanced Life support. This can be provided by Cardioscan Aotearoa.
Applicants must hold, or be working towards, SCT and CPRB accreditation.
