Location: Penrose An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Car Groomer/Yard Assistant. We work to the highest showroom standards, which is why we require someone with skills and special attention to detail. This is a full-time role with 40 hours per week. Pay rate of $25-30 per hour - skill dependent. Job Description: Exteriors grooming tasks such as washing, drying, polishing, and waxing. Ensuring tire and wheel arch cleanliness by washing and blackening tires. Polishing vehicle windows to a sparkling finish. Interior grooming tasks such as vacuuming, dry cleaning carpets and upholstery, and applying cleaning agents to remove stains. Includes cleaning compartments in vehicles. Conducting minor repairs and touch-ups to remove scratches as needed. Driving vehicles - both manual and automatic cars. Maintain and keep a tidy yard and work area. Taking photos of vehicles. Using our computer system to load details and photos of new vehicles into the sales database/website. Skills Required: You must have a restricted or full N.Z driver's license or overseas equivalent that allows you to drive legally in New Zealand. You must be able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles. Computer skills including Word and Excel. Self-motivated. Excellent timekeeping and the ability to prioritize your work to meet deadlines. Competency and speed. Pride in your work. Maintain an excellent attitude towards your work and colleagues.
