Delivering Auckland's transport solution on such a mammoth scale is no mean feat and we need a talented team to ensure we are up to this task.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Capital Performance Manager to join the team, providing effective financial leadership and direction. In this role you will manage a team of business partners to ensure that commercially insightful financial governance and advice, and critical financial information is available, understood and utilized for decision making, financial stewardship, measurement and achievement of Auckland Transport and functional business plans. A key responsibility in this role is the planning, budgeting, reporting and monitoring of performance of Auckland Transport's $1 billion capital investment programme.
In this role you will liaise with the broader financial community across Auckland Transport and third parties to ensure the organisation exceeds customer expectations with value adding services, consistently looking to evolve with best practice while meeting financial and regulatory obligations.
You will be the champion for the establishment of a robust financial planning and analysis culture in Auckland Transport, ensuring effective controls and review process are established and adhered to.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience (including 5 years leading a team) in a senior business or project leadership role. You will also have:
A tertiary degree qualification in accounting or a related discipline. Being a charted member of a professionally recognised accountancy body is desired.Demonstrated experience and understanding in financial management, particularly with large complex capital projects.History of delivery in projects with a high level of public visibility and experience in managing project accounting for large scale projects.Demonstrate a disciplined approach to managing a significant budget and the ability to establish and utilize effective systems and processed to monitor financial performance.Strong written communication and the ability to write concise Board & ELT papers and prepare presentations for various audiences.
