About the role As a Capital Accountant you will play a key role in managing and accounting for our company's fixed assets and various capital projects.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with project managers in all areas of the business, ensuring that our capital projects are accurately represented and aligned with company policies and standards.

In this role you will: Work with the Senior Capital Accountant to ensure projects are correctly designated as capital or expense, tangible or intangible.
Assist project managers with accounting queries and month-end procedures.
Process fixed asset transactions accurately and timely, including capitalisations and depreciation.
Prepare month-end tasks and reconciliations for fixed assets balance sheet accounts.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors and support Financial Control activities.
About you We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Capital Accountant who is ready to take on new challenges and contribute to our team's success.
You will also have: Tertiary qualification in accounting, preferably working towards or completed CA or equivalent.
Excellent Excel skills and ability to interrogate data effectively.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Experience in a financial analysis/accounting environment and knowledge of NZ IFRS standards.
