A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to step into the role of Capability Lead within our Auckland Co-Design Lab. The Lab is a unique collaboration between local and central government, nested inside The Southern Initiative (TSI) at Auckland Council. As a public sector innovation initiative, we build the capability of local and central government to work in more place-based and whanau-centred ways. We demonstrate and help to embed practice that better connects policy and decision-making with the lived realities of whanau. As our Capability Lead, you will drive culturally grounded, equity-focused initiatives for tamariki and whanau wellbeing. This role offers the chance to lead transformative learning experiences and partner closely with key collaborators to deliver impactful change.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and delivery of Lab learning and capability programmes, creating transformative, high-quality experiences.Develop and share practice-based evidence that reshapes how government engages and supports the wellbeing of our communities.Strategically share learning and insights across various platforms to ensure broad and effective reach.Identify key opportunities to work with critical partners to enhance impact and drive systems change.Play a leadership role in using and expanding our key frameworks and practices and develop the capability of partners internally and externally.You are an experienced leader, committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally grounded practices. With a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and a proven track record in social innovation, research, evaluation, public health, design or similar, you excel in enabling collaboration, facilitating learning, and driving systemic change.
