Located in Otautahi | Christchurch, Aotearoa | New ZealandFull-time (37.5 hours per week)Generous annual leave provisions and professional development opportunitiesAu Mahi | What You Will DoAs a Capability and Wellbeing Advisor at the University of Canterbury (UC), you'll bring capability and wellbeing plans to fruition by offering expert advice, training, coaching, and support in learning, development, and overall wellbeing.Working alongside key stakeholders, you will develop and support organisational capability and wellness by:Utilising a depth of knowledge and understanding of the University's capability and wellbeing strategies, operational priorities, and portfolio business needs to credibly engage with Leaders to enable targeted coaching, professional development, and partnering.Building stakeholder capability and development by driving and supporting initiatives that foster organisational performance.Delivering fit for purpose, contextualised training that meets the capability and wellbeing operational plans.Developing and delivering targeted wellbeing initiatives, training and activities.Partnering with the student wellbeing team and other key stakeholders to design and deliver co-designed training and development opportunities.Providing specialist advice on best practice capability and wellbeing initiatives, training, and activities.Utilising data analysis, including Learning Needs Analysis tools evaluation and feedback to review effectiveness and inform fit for purpose development opportunities and identify future gap analysis.Mou | Who You AreYou will be an experienced practitioner with at least 5 years' professional experience in capability and/or wellbeing development and hold a Bachelor's degree relevant to Human Resources.You will also be able to demonstrate:The ability to facilitate professional development offerings and coach a wide range of staff.Experience in designing, creating and delivering professional development offerings with an understanding of adult learning principles.Proven ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience in the use of Microsoft packages, databases, HR technology systems, Learning and Development or capability development software.Competency in te reo Maori me ona tikanga is an advantage.Knowledge of NZ employment related legislation is an advantage.An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.Mahi Ngatahi | Who You Will Work WithWe recognise and value people as our most precious resource and the mahi undertaken in the People and Culture Team is the catalyst for positive changes in our organisation.
