Campus Student Support Assistant (Hamilton)

We have an exciting opportunity at our Hamilton campus to join the team. This role is on a part-time basis until December 2025 (25 - 30 hours per week, term time only). This role is Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8.30am - 3pm during term time.The Role:This role involves working alongside our classroom teachers, on a one-to-one basis with individual students, as well as small groups. The role also requires the ability to monitor and gather data and communicate with family and staff.Skills and Experience:Recent experience working with young people, particularly those at a similar age range.Experience supporting young people with learning challenges.Experience applying effective strategies and opportunities for learning.An understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and of different learning methods.A good level of digital competency.Ability to cater for a student's varying needs, including implementation of strategies to support development of communication and learning.Excellent relationship building and communication skills.Patience, resilience, adaptability and empathy.Whilst training and induction is provided, it is ideal that you possess most of the above attributes.Anticipated start date for the role is Term 1, 2025.Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and we may look to appoint prior to the advertised close date.Unfortunately, applications from abroad cannot currently be considered.OneSchool Global is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
