Our own Bach Cafe at Ocean Spa are searching for their next talented Cafe Team Member to join our energetic and friendly team on a casual basis.
As a Cafe Team Member, you will play a crucial role in welcoming all visitors to the Cafe and by providing exceptional customer service and positive experience to the wider Ocean Spa facility. You will also ensure consistent delivery of food and beverage services by following agreed processes and Standard Operating Procedures.
Responsibilities will include:
Assist in the timely preparation of hot and cold meals and beverages for the Café at the Marine Parade Pools together with functions and events that take place, supporting catering set up as required, (In the absence of the Café Lead, the Cafe Team Member will lead this task)
Act as Duty Manager for evening functions and day to day operations as required, ensuring service excellence and compliance with all legal requirements around the service of alcohol Ensure the café kitchen and dining areas are clean, welcoming and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness at all times Complete beginning and end of day processes including cash up procedures as directed and required Preparation and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones Speciality beverages, prepared following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques such as espresso, café' latte, cappuccino Perform other duties as required by the Café Lead To be successful in this role you will have: Food Safety Course NZQA Unit 167 – Practice Food Safety Methods in a Food Business. LCQ Qualification and Duty Managers certificate (or ability to gain this qualification) At least 12 months experience - hospitality food preparation & service Barista training Ability to work evening, weekend and public holidays in accordance with a roster system We will be interviewing applications as we receive them and may close the role when we have found the right person.
