The team manages a number of food and beverage venues within the Parliamentary precinct; each offering a different and unique experience; these include the Copperfields café, Pickwick's bar, and New Zealand's fine dining cuisine restaurant - Bellamys. A further function of the team is providing catering and hospitality services for the numerous events that are held on the Parliamentary precinct. You'll be leading our energetic and hard-working team at Copperfields Café. We have a supportive, customer focused and collaborative approach to our work.Mo te tunga | About the roleThe Café Manger is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of staff within Copperfields café. The role ensures the smooth running of the front of house operations, ensuring a high standard of customer service is provided at all times and café operational standards and procedures are carried out and maintained. No two days will ever be the same and here's a few things that you'll get involved with:Ensuring the delivery of world class customer service experiences at all timesOverseeing shift operations and ensuring the compliance of food hygiene & safety and under legislative requirements such as Responsible Service of AlcoholManaging resources to ensure service standards are maintained at all timesNurturing friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputationMaintaining records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expensesManaging the point of sale and cash management systemAssisting with marketing via different channels and in house promotionsTo kete | We're keen to connect with people who;Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role and are barista trained. We're very motivated to speak with people who're collaborative in nature and like to get stuff done, demonstrated by their proven experience and skills from similar role(s) in the hospitality industry.
