Cafe Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the cafà runs efficiently. The Cafe Manager will be responsible for managing staff, talking with Chefs about menus, maintaining high standards of customer service, handling administrative tasks, arranging purchasing and ensuring the cafà meets all health and safety requirements. This role requires a balance of leadership, and hands-on involvement in the cafÃ's day-to-day functions and in special functions. Job pre-requisites - At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a high-pressure hospitality environment. - Manager's Certificate would be an advantage. - Barista Certificate would be an advantage. - Experience with coffee making would be a huge advantage. - Sound understanding of food hygiene and safety standards. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse customers in a friendly and professional manner. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks while maintaining high service standards. Requiring the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm and friendly demeanour. - Precision in following recipes, taking orders, and ensuring the correct preparation and presentation of items. - Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by the cafÃ's operating hours. - A positive attitude and cooperative approach to working as part of a small team. - Open full time work permit in New Zealand.
