Ensure nutritious, high quality and well-presented meals are produced.Adhere to all practices relating to food hygiene, preparation, storage and disposal.Work closely with colleagues across the wider group as well as in the café.Follow "Clean as you go" processes – constantly Tidy bench, dishwashing etc.Actively involved in staff training to support the Café Manager. Health and SafetyParticipating in the health and safety practices across the group.Maintain your wellness, health and safety within the workplace and support others to maintain theirs.Adhere to safe work practices. OtherAdhere to Company Policies and Procedures at all times.Comply with Company systems – for e.g., Hazard Co, Time Cloud, I Payroll, Xero.Maintain and respect company equipment, property and plant.Any other reasonable, relevant, and lawful duties as required or instructed by your manager.Availability to work additional hours as and when needed by the businessContinued development of allergen awarenessPurchase and manage stock in the absence of the Café Manager Qualification and skill requirements Qualified chef with 3+ years' experience (Certificate in cookery – Level 3)Excellent communication and organisational skills; reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language. Consistant, friendly and helpful professional manner.Outstanding Customer-service orientation.A reliable, positive, calm and trustworthy team player is essential as our Chef is a key member of the George Cafe team.
