About the roleWe are looking for two Café Assistants / Baristas to work at our stunning Gulf Rise Village in Red Beach.
You will provide Barista and Café services in our established café.
Reporting to the Food Services Manager, you will be providing exceptional service to our Residents and their friends while also helping provide a great dining experience!Shifts:Mon/Sat/Sun AM shift and Wed PM shift (17.5 hours per week)Some of the great things you will be doing:Taking food and beverage orders from our residents, visitors and staffMaking amazing cups of coffee (semi-automatic machine)Serving and collecting meals in our caféServing meals to our residents (in the care home)Operating the cash registerAdditional kitchen duties as and when requiredAbout youYou will have exceptional customer service skills, enjoy giving service with a smile and can effortlessly juggle several tasks at once.
With some barista experience, some things that will support your application include:Mature and reliable with exceptional communication skillsA good command of spoken and written EnglishA Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (not essential) as well as and/or commercial kitchen experienceAbout usAt Metlifecare we create homes and communities.
