Be a part of a great team culture 4 x part-time Permanent positions availableStunning Cafe in a Retirement Village settingSouth Auckland location - work close to homeAwesome benefits - see below!About the role We are looking for four fabulous Café Assistants to work at our in our lovely Longford Park Village in Takanini, South Auckland.
You will provide Barista and Café services in our established café.
Reporting to the Food Services Manager, you will be providing exceptional service to our Residents and their friends, while also helping provide a great dining experience!
Permanent shifts available are as follows:Wednesday to Saturday, - 9am - 2.30pm = 20hrs weekWednesday to Saturday, - 4pm- 7pm = 12hrs weekSunday to Tuesday, - 9am - 2.30pm = 15hrs weekSunday to Tuesday + Friday, - 4pm- 7pm = 12hrs weekThere may also be the opportunity for you to pick up additional shifts if someone is on leave.Some of the great things you will be doing:Taking food and beverage orders from our residents, visitors and staffMaking amazing cups of coffee (semi-automatic machine)Serving and collecting meals in our caféAssisting the Cook with food prep in the KitchenOperating the cash registerGeneral cleaning including café equipment and washing up in the kitchenAdditional Kitchen duties as and when requiredAbout you You will have exceptional customer service skills, a vibrant and welcoming personality, enjoy giving service with a smile and you can effortlessly juggle several tasks at once.
With some barista experience, some things that will support your application include:Impeccable personal presentationA warm and friendly nature and a 'Can do attitude'Mature and reliable with exceptional communication skillsA good command of spoken and written EnglishA Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (not essential) as well as and/or commercial kitchen experienceAbout usAt Metlifecare we create homes and communities.
