About the role Asa Cafeteria Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth andfunctional operations of our cafeteria. Your responsibilities will include:
Customer Service:Assisting with cafeteria service for staff and students, ensuring a highstandard of service delivery.
Catering Support:Helping with catering for functions and noho Marae (overnight stays).
Facility Maintenance: Keeping the cafeteria area, facilities, andequipment clean and tidy at all times.
Food Hygiene:Adhering to food hygiene standards and health regulations.
Flexibility:Being available at short notice to provide excellent service when needed.
Qualifications: Food handling or basic food safetycertificate. Experience: Experience working unsupervised in akitchen setting.Experience working in a similar role.Willing to participate in culturalactivities and motivated to develop an understanding of ahuatanga Maori(values, culture and tikanga)Able to greet and acknowledge people inte reo Maori and pronounce Maori words correctlyPrepared to increase knowledge,understanding and everyday use of te reo and ahuatanga Maori and support otherkaimahi in the same endeavourApplications for this role will close when weidentify a suitable shortlist of candidates.
