Tasks you may carry out:

·       Studying design plans and drawings to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures
·       Selecting timbers and other materials, and preparing layouts
·       Measuring and cutting materials to the right size and shape
·       Preparing and assembling the wood parts to make cabinet furniture or form sections of build-in furniture
·       Erecting and installing cabinets, drawers, shelves and boards
·       Fitting and repairing hardware, such as hinges, locks and catches
·       Refurbishing and repairing the existing wood furniture and fittings
·       Maintain and clean company power tools and equipment 
·       Ensuring that all activities undertaken are compliant with related regulations
·       Prompt reporting of equipment defects and damage to management 

To be successful you will need to:

Have at least three years solid relevant experience, or
Have a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates,
Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions
Be physically fit and willingness to work hard
Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively
have "can-do" attitude
