Full timeSalary: $111,619 - $129,442 (including 4% superannuation)C4 within a military context means Command, Control, Communication and Computers – all necessary to support our organisation to the next level of growth and success.In this role, you will be responsible for C4 systems development tasks for the NZSAS Regiment in-service platforms such as soldier systems, Special Operations Vehicles, Domestic Operations Vehicles, Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats, and other future platforms.Key tasks will include:Planning, design, integration, and formal testing of fielded and future networked capability solutions (RF radios/comms systems).Responsibility for the development and maintenance of programmatic and technical documentation to support planning, management, and execution of programme deliverables.Collaborating within the Tech Lab and providing oversight of external agencies (vendors and contractors) ensuring they achieve desired outcomes.Due to the nature of work, there is very limited option to work remotely. The formal title for this role within NZDF is Special Ops C4 Integration Engineer.This isn't an off-the-shelf role - we need an outside smart thinker who isn't afraid to try, fail, and learn fast.Technical Skills Required:RF systems - RF performance and optimisation, integration of RF systems and IP systems.Network systems – understanding of IP fundamentals.Electronics or Electrical fundamentals.Understanding of security fundamentals advantageous.You will also have experience with troubleshooting, error logs, system logs, patching, upgrading firmware, and be familiar with traditional and agile delivery methods.There is lots of stakeholder engagement in this role where your strong communication skills and good interpersonal skills come into play. You will be more than happy to share your knowledge while learning from others.
