Butchery Assistant/Meat Packer - Part Time We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable individual to join our friendly and hardworking team in our Butchery area. Our strategy is FRESH AS! CHEAP AS! SWEET AS!, so we are looking for the right individual who will contribute to our strategy. Requirements of the role: Ensuring all meat displayed in the case is correctly trayed, wrapped, and labelled. Assisting with customer enquiries. Maintaining relevant merchandising standards at all times. Ensuring all meat is clearly labelled and packed correctly for sale. Following Food Safety and Health and Safety Policy compliance procedures in the store. Contributing effectively as a team member. Aligning with our store values which is RESPECT. Able to do heavy lifting up to 15kg. To be successful in this role, you must possess the following attributes/skills: Good communication and customer service skills. Able to work in cold conditions (inside the meat area). Can do heavy lifting (15 kg) and physical work. Reliable and show enthusiasm in what you do. Enjoy working with the public and want to develop your career within the supermarket industry. Good team player. Flexible with working hours and able to work weekend shifts. Have the right to work in New Zealand. The hours and days of work will be discussed at the interview stage.
