Butcher

We are looking for a qualified Butcher to join our great team of people.
You will be working alongside our head butcher, who has been with us for 7 years, to produce high quality meat cuts and products as requested by our clients.Established in 1997, Carve Meat Co. started from humble beginnings and over this time has grown to become a leading provider of premium quality meat to New Zealand's top chefs and the hospitality trade.
We are a 100% New Zealand family owned and operated business.We take pride in what we do at Carve and have a strong culture of supporting each other and working together in this dynamic and ever changing industry.Your key duties will include:Cutting and processing orders to customers specifications.Ensure that the portion and quality control standards are met and maintained.Safely operate and maintain the butchery machinery (mincer/bandsaw/vacuum pack machines).Follow established Food Safety and Health & Safety Rules.Cleaning of the Butchery daily, post production.The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:At least 2-3 years butchery experience.Food hygiene qualifications and standards.To be able to work under pressure and to time constraints.Good communication, computer, literacy and numeracy skills.This is a full time permanent position, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
From time to time there may be some assistance required in our Stores, which will increase the capability of more working hours.
