This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy and hardworking group driving the growth of our beautiful district.What you'll be doing / He aha te mahiAs Business Support Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the Property & Infrastructure Directorate functions efficiently and effectively through the receipt of high-quality, consistent business support and an expertly managed continuous improvement programme. As manager of the newly formed Business Support Services team, you will also be responsible for establishing the team, defining its scope and embedding any necessary business changes to ensure the team's success.The role will involve:Managing the directorate's support functions including procurement and purchasing, new staff inductions, information requests, diary management for the leadership team, event coordination, travel arrangements, information management, and other general administrative activities.Developing and implementing a programme of continuous improvement initiatives that enable the directorate to operate more efficiently, effectively, and consistently.Developing and managing the directorate's enabling frameworks, toolkits, and registers.Providing oversight of executive support for the General Manager.Managing the team's contracts, budgets, and procurement processes.What you'll bring to the role / Ko wai to PukekaYou will have at least 10 years' experience across business support and change management activities with at least two of those at a senior level.
