About this role
We are recruiting for two positions:
One 6 month Fixed-Term role under the Parental Leave and Employment Protection (Paid Parental Leave) Amendment Act 2002.
As part of the Integrated Planning & Development team, your role will be to provide a customer-oriented and responsive approach to the cross-organisational delivery of business support services. The Integrated Planning & Development team is responsible for the functions of building, resource consents, and land information memorandums.

Relevant experience in administration
Demonstrated use of initiative
Efficiency and accuracy
Professionalism, multi-tasking ability, and prioritising work
Ability to relate to all types of people
Experience using Outlook, Word, Excel
Excellent keyboard skills including speed and accuracy
Knowledge of, or familiarity with processes associated with legislation and/or the statutory processes related to the Local Government regulatory framework (such as: Building Act, Resource Management Act, Local Government Act)
If you have experience in administering resource consent or building consent applications, this would be an advantage; however, full training will be provided.
You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure, a good sense of humour, and enjoy the rewards of working in a busy and demanding environment as an individual and as part of a dynamic team.
When you complete the pre-employment screening questions, you will be asked to indicate whether you are interested in the 6-month fixed term or permanent position.
