We operate by land, sea and air, manage over 860,000 emergency calls a year and are always actively preventing crime and crashes.We're working towards specific goals and targets that highlight our intent to work collaboratively with iwi and communities, other government sectors and business partners to deliver 'Our Business' and achieve long-term change.Te Tari Pureke - Firearms Safety Authority, is focused on making our communities safer by overseeing the legitimate possession and use of firearms in New Zealand.Established to modernise, lead, and operate a refreshed firearms regulatory framework, Te Tari Pureke is responsible for delivering a more efficient and effective risk-based licensing system, educating, and encouraging the safe possession and use of firearms Aotearoa, and improving public confidence in the firearms licensing system overall.As the system regulator we are committed to earning the trust and confidence of New Zealanders by working together in partnership with the firearms community, iwi, the wider New Zealand public, other policing groups, as well as other agencies and organisations to achieve collective impact.Responsible for delivering an enterprise level work programme that enables Te Tari Pureke to achieve its people strategy objectives, this position will take a lead role in people capability uplift.The Business Partner - People and Culture contributes to the development and execution of people strategies and initiatives and assists the Manager, People & Culture in setting the direction of the People and Culture work programme.Leading HR Advisory service for the workgroup at an operational level, you will ensure that excellence in HR Advisory services & operations are maintained and to grow the pro-active capability of the HR Advisory workstream.Working with the Arms Leadership (ALT) and Senior Leadership (SLT) teams, you will provide solutions and guidance which will ensure Te Tari Pureke has the right capability needed for the future. Developing and implementing enterprise-wide frameworks, projects and initiatives that support Te Tari Pureke to achieve its people and capability objectives, it is expected that you will have a broad range of generalist HR practitioner skills, knowledge, and experience.Providing oversight and expert advice on Employment Relations (ER) activity and risk for Te Tari Püreke, you will be the point of escalation for ER matters, and proactively promote and champion best practice around ER matters particularly as they relate to employment terms and conditions.A crucial part of your position will be the leading and advising on change initiatives, ensuring that people impact is managed according to Te Tari Pureke and Police values, Te Tari Pureke people and capability requirements, employment legislation and Police policy.Working collaboratively with a facilitative working style, you will utilise your influencing skills, high level of EQ and exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, in order to deliver in environments of complexity.Oversee the day-to-day HR advisory work programme.Provide reports, insights and analysis on workforce capability and employment.Advise and lead people change and people capability enhancements / uplifts .Prepare and review business cases, ALT papers and presentations for People & Culture.Qualifications / Requirements:Extensive experience in HR service delivery and business partnering.Experience writing business cases and Executive papers.Extensive experience implementing projects or initiatives related to the employee lifecycle.Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering a work programme.Experience managing best practice change.Applicants must have working rights in New ZealandPre-Employment Checks:A standard vetting check is required.This role is set at Team Leader/Manager level , this means your key purpose is "to lead the activities for Our Business and enable people to deliver them."To view more detailed information about our recruitment process along with further details about requirements please click below link:How to applyPawhiria i konei kia tonoa te tunga |If this position sounds like you, click 'Apply' now.
