Job Description Clarus is looking for a skilled and experienced professional to develop, establish, lead and evolve the Information Technology 'Centre of Excellence' business intelligence and reporting practice.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Business Intelligence (BI) and Reporting Centre of Excellence (COE), ensuring alignment between BI strategy and business needs.
You will foster collaboration and knowledge sharing between business unit analysts and the BI team to deliver consistent, high-quality BI solutions. As a subject matter expert, you will provide guidance on BI tools, technologies, and industry best practices, while mentoring and supporting both team members and business unit analysts.
You will also identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and scale BI operations for optimal efficiency. Building strong relationships across the organization, you will advocate for BI adoption, track KPIs, and continuously improve the effectiveness and impact of the BI practice.
This role can be located in New Plymouth or Wellington.
Qualifications What you will bring to the role:
Bachelor degree in computer science, data science, BI analyst or related profession
10+ years demonstrable experience as an insights analyst/data analyst/data scientist
Proven experience in BI, analytics, or data management with a focus on reporting.
Strong knowledge of BI tools, technologies, and best practices.
Excellent collaboration and mentoring skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
