This position involves several key responsibilities:Data Collection: Gather data from various sources, working with departments for comprehensive collection.Data Analysis: Use advanced techniques to analyse large datasets, identifying trends and anomalies.Data Interpretation: Interpret analysis results to create clear reports for evidence-based decision-making.Improving Services: Identify areas for improvement in public services through data analysis.Driving Efficiency: Streamline operations by identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.Collaboration: Work closely with departments and stakeholders, translating complex data for non-technical audiences.Technology Utilisation: Use business intelligence tools to automate data processes.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with trends in data analytics to keep the government at the forefront of decision-making.If you're a detail-oriented professional with a knack for problem-solving and a desire to contribute to the growth and development of the Far North District, we want to hear from you!The ideal candidate will possess:Relevant Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics3+ years in Business IntelligenceStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to translate business needs into data solutionsProficient in creating effective data visualisations and dashboardsExperience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.Meticulous in data validation, cleaning, and quality assuranceProficient in SQL and data manipulation languagesExperience with MS SQL Server (2008-2017), SSRS, SSIS, SSASKnowledge of Data Warehousing and related architecturesEffective verbal and written communicationExperience in implementing and configuring reporting systemsLocal Government experience preferredFar North District Council is proud of our diverse workforce and is committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
