The Business Improvement Specialist role is our subject matter expert for our new dedicated practice support Squads, with the primary focus of supporting practices to achieve optimal business and operational efficiencies, remain adaptable and change-ready and achieve long term financial sustainability.
Working as part of highly skilled and committed teams, aimed at being the horsepower behind some of the most crucial primary and community care hubs in the country, this role is tasked with innovating and changing the way in which healthcare is delivered within general practice.
This will include assisting practices to review their operating processes, methods and systems, financial performance etc., prepare recommendations for any improvement projects or changes, then work to prioritise and deliver any agreed projects.
Our ideal candidates will have these key skills and experience: A minimum of 3 years' work experience in a similar role with a strong business, account management, business improvement, project management and customer services background.
A relevant tertiary level qualification such as a Bachelor/ Diploma in Business or Marketing (healthcare background is ideal).
Customer centric and/or account management certification or trainings (preferred but not essential).
Knowledge of business improvement and/or business re-engineering through operating model implementation.
Experience with change and project management methodologies.
Strong, well-rounded cultural confidence and competency and ability to effectively engage and support all cultures that form our diverse communities.
Ability to distil large, complex and competing sets of priorities across multi-stakeholder environments and design clear actionable workplans.
Fine-tuned analytical skills, including ability to deal with complex population health and clinical data.
A passion for improving equitable health outcomes for the population of Tamaki Makaurau and Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Strong understanding and appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to shaping our efforts.
