We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to step into the running of our new Business Improvement Team within the Commission. This is a 14 month fixed term position to cover parental leave, based in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office. Mo te turanga | About the role Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, you will be a key player in our Information Services leadership team. Leading a small but mighty team of two Business Improvement Analysts, you will improve productivity, eliminate waste, and look for ways to innovate continuously and measurably across the breadth of the Commission. This role will include the delivery of process management and improvement frameworks, principles, and practices and ownership of the Commissions Process Management Tool, Promapp (Process Manager). All while leading improvement initiatives focusing on efficiency and effectiveness in organisational areas through review, value definition, and change within process and technology. The salary band for this role is $140,870 - $190,588 plus 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organisation. If you have the following skills and attributes, you could make a great Business Improvement Manager: Extensive knowledge and experience in Process Management Demonstrated experience in advising and supporting people at all levels of a large complex organisation Excellent knowledge and understanding of Business Analysis, Process mapping and Improvement Strong ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders Superb facilitation skills- you know how to work a room and create a safe space for people to open up Excellent communicator, spoken and written, as report writing and presentations are a core part of the position Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a delivery focused team It's not essential but would be an added bonus if you also have: Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt credentials or experience in DMAIC methodology Experience with/managing Nintex Promapp (Process Manager) Read more about the skills, experience and knowledge required for this position in the position description.
