GHD is on the lookout for an experienced and dynamic Business Group Leader to join and manage our Northern Water team.
This role currently sits in Auckland. You will manage and grow existing contracts and relationships with private, local government and state sector clients and to grow our people and the business with a particular focus in the water service offering.
Project Risk Management and Business Development will also be a key part of the position.
The role:Manage the Northern Water Business Group performance, people, and resources.Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients (internal and external), Project Directors and Project Managers.Work closely with Market Leaders to agree strong market sector alignment for the business plan.Securing and managing workload for the Group.Provide support to Operations Manager and Finance Manager at month end in regard to invoicing and forecasting for Project Directors within the Business Group.Provide leadership to the business group in line with GHD's values and objectives.About you:A relevant university degree in an engineering discipline with at least 15+ years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.Ideally a Chartered Engineer.Focus on client service, growth mindset and ownership mentality.Solid people management skills.Strong technical background.Understand and adhere to GHD's values, Codes of Conduct, and Policies.Proactive, analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).A strong professional network within the region, self-motivated and energetic, with a bias to action.High attention to detail and tech savvy.Passionately innovative, with a drive to continuously evolve the way we work to deliver successful outcomes for our clients.High level market awareness and business development skills with a strong focus on client engagement and ideally a well-established network of relationships across potential clients.Hardworking, supportive and motivating leader able to get the best out of your team and comfortable with mentoring and technical supervisory responsibilities.Click 'Apply' to submit your CV or reach out to Zen Chua (******) for more information.
