We imagine you out there, living and loving the world of mobile app development and ad sales, learning all the tech, building an extensive network of contacts among publishers, really mastering the game — and yet not having quite found that perfect gig that combines a stable workplace, generous compensation, and a killer product you can believe in. Well, we humbly suggest that we just may have found that perfect job for you, heading up the sales effort of the cross-screen ad platform of a ridiculously innovative and famously good-to-work-for company. Seriously: You really ought to look into this one.
You'll be given a big ol' slab of autonomy when it comes to running the entire sales book as pertains to gaming publishers/sellers. You can even think of yourself as a mini-CEO within that vertical, with plenty of resources at your disposal — account managers, sales engineers, tech solution providers, product managers and QA testers — and a decidedly strategic angle on the work.
With an equal emphasis on building relationships with both new prospects and existing accounts, you'll carry out prospecting, pipeline-building, pitching, staging product demos, and negotiating contracts. You'll work especially closely with account managers to make sure clients are being kept happy and, of course, to act on any upselling opportunities.
You'll do as much listening as you do talking, making absolutely certain that you understand the needs and concerns of customers and prospects, so that you and the team can deliver the highly tailored open-architecture solutions that make this company's product so valued. And when you get client feedback from prospects, you'll share it with the product and strategy teams to make sure that the software is always improving.
Programmatic and/or platform sales — whether that's video, mobile, rich media, whatever — is a big deal for you. You've worked in that area for a few years now, and see it as your future. You have a deep understanding of the competitive mobile programmatic ecosystem, with a particular emphasis on the gaming-publisher side. In fact, your existing contacts in that area are impressively numerous and broad, so numerous and broad that you could hit the ground running.
A consummate sales professional, you've got an easy rapport with people that's rooted not in some shallow drive to win win win, but in a sincere desire to match people's needs with thoughtful solutions — and wouldn't you know it, that approach results in a hell of a lot of win-win-winning. Certainly you need no hand-holding and you keep an eye on your quarterly goals, never tiring of pitching, meeting new people, or checking in with existing customers to make sure all is well. At the end of the day, you see your role as deeply human, and all about relationships.
Inside Skinny If anything, we've given short shrift to the truly lavish package of benefits this company makes available to its employees — suffice it to say that it's hard to beat.
Net Net A fine employer, a product that overwhelmingly pleases its customers, and a sales gig in a field about which you're passionate? Why, we think it's about time you applied.
