Join our dedicated team and help shape the future of corporate events and corporate travel in New Zealand.About the RoleAs the Corporate Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind the growth of our MICE and corporate business.
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, your role will focus on building and nurturing long-term relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and key industry stakeholders to position JetPark Hotels as the go-to venue for business travel, meetings, conferences, and events.Your focus will include:Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the MICE and corporate sectors.Managing key accounts and fostering strong relationships with corporate clients and event organizers.Developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives to increase room bookings and event revenue.Collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.Analyzing market trends and competitor activities to position JetPark Hotels as a leading corporate and MICE destination.Completing tenders, managing negotiated rates, and contracts with key Travel Management Companies and the Government sector.Delivering exceptional customer service, hosting famils, sales trips, and attending industry events.About YouYou are a results-driven business development professional with a proven track record in the MICE and corporate travel space.
You have exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and you're able to navigate complex deals with ease.
With a minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate sales or business development, preferably within the hospitality, events, or tourism industries, you bring expertise in managing corporate accounts and executing successful sales strategies.An instinct for hunting - you thrive on chasing and winning business and being out on the road.A strong network of travel and business industry connections and a proven ability to build lasting relationships, maintain and increase client portfolios.To recognize opportunities and convert customer needs into room and conference bookings.Excellent communication and presentation skills and experience in sales.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.Strong computer, organizational skills and attention to detail.A full, current driving license is essential.Tertiary qualifications in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).Be available to travel in Auckland, Hamilton, and the Bay of Plenty with freedom to manage your own time, sales calls, and trips including some travel across NZ and Australia.Office based alongside the wider Sales & Marketing Team at JetPark Hotel Auckland Airport.Why JetPark Hotels?At JetPark Hotels, we believe in nurturing our people as much as we nurture our guests.
