We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager based in Auckland responsible for the North Island territory for a permanent contract.

Mission:
Responsible for developing the profitable growth of Hager product sales and brand equity within the New Zealand market through its distributors by promoting the marketing of company products/services and developing new customers through the application of selling skills.
Maintain regular service to customers within the designated territory, through effective planning/management.
Provide monthly written reports measuring actual performance against targets, with commentary on reason for the variations and actions taken or recommendations for taking action.
Implement sales activities, strategic plans matching market trends and expectations, in accordance with Hager Electro & Hager Group Strategic Plans.
Ensure effective customer relations and a positive company image is maintained at all times.
Responsible for setting and achieving market share and distribution strategies including: Setting annual sales targets, managing promotional support to branches and providing input into local marketing initiatives.
Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key customers and for identifying and exploiting new market opportunities including specification, commercial/multi-residential & contract.
Coordinate training, utilising trainers and establishing effective training programs.
Assist in customer events, road shows and general sales activities.
Ensure Hager products are supported and prominent in all branches.
Key skills, attributes and experience required include:
An affinity to technical products and the manufacturing industry.
Proven background in territory sales, new business development and account management.
The ability to build relationships with contractors and tradespeople.
A background in selling to wholesalers and an understanding of the relationship between channel partners.
Commercial acumen and an eye for new opportunities and changing customer demands.
Skills in picking up new product knowledge and establishing credibility with stakeholders.
Self-motivated to drive the sales cycle; calls, meetings, industry events, networking etc.
