Heartland Feeds provides dairy farmers with a wide range of nutritional supplements with tailored nutritional advice designed to help maximise livestock health and performance, as well as supplying animal feeds. We are currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable business development manager to join our team to develop our dairy feed and nutrition sales in the North Island. This is a new role and would require you to grow our business throughout the North Island by actively seeking out and engaging prospective clients as well as maintaining productive relationships with our current clients. You would be required to partner with them on their varying nutritional needs and to advise them on making changes to their feeds and supplement products as needed. About the Role: Finding and engaging new clients throughout the North Island and helping us continue to expand our national market. Maintaining relationships with current Heartland Feeds clients and suppliers through regular contact and seasonal check-ins. Managing the nutritional and sales needs of clients as priorities, working with our clients to help them reach their goals. Promoting Heartland's services and products wherever possible through attending agricultural or promotional events, such as field days, as a Heartland team member. Working with other sales team members and our office staff to oversee production, inventory and delivery. Key attributes for the position: Experience with and understanding of dairy nutritional needs, dairy feeds and supplements and with the New Zealand Dairy Industry as a whole. Ability to communicate and build effective relationships with clients and colleagues. You must have a full, valid driver's license, and be able to travel to clients and admin office. You will require proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. A degree in Dairy Science is preferred but not required.
