Business Development Manager
Argus Fire Protection is a privately owned, leading fire protection services company that provides fire systems design, installation, and servicing to clients throughout New Zealand. We want to be the best, but not necessarily the biggest, and we pride ourselves on building long-term loyal relationships with our clients based on trust and integrity.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented BDM to join our Wellington team. This role is pivotal in driving our growth by targeting and acquiring customers who align with our commitment to quality over quantity. You will be responsible for identifying and nurturing relationships with clients who value excellence in fire protection services and are looking for a long-term partnership.
What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in business development or sales within the fire protection, construction, or related industries.
A strategic thinker with a strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
A proactive and self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
A strong focus on delivering quality outcomes and exceeding customer expectations.
Experience in targeting and acquiring high-value clients, with a proven track record of success.
You must be a New Zealand citizen or have permanent residency status and have a full clean Driver's License.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a strategic business development plan focusing on high-value customer acquisition.
Identify and engage potential clients who prioritise quality and reliability in fire protection services.
Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers within targeted industries.
Collaborate closely with the technical, key account and operations teams to ensure client needs are met with the highest standards.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
Provide regular reports on business development activities and outcomes to senior management.
Represent Argus Fire Protection at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
