Join us at Landis+Gyr, where we manage energy better! What's the role? We are excited to welcome another Business Development Manager to our team. This role is a full-time and permanent position based in central Wellington. The major focus for this role is to prospect for new customers and manage existing ones, aiming to contribute to current and future sales and revenue targets. You will be responsible for providing a wide range of consulting, solution, and product services, including business development, following up leads, drafting recommendations, and engaging with customers and stakeholders. Responsibilities : Sales / Business Development Co-ordinate and participate in the compilation of forecasts for sales. Follow up with customers on proposals, quotes, and leads; implement follow-up actions. Work with key customers to provide insights and ascertain satisfaction levels, ensuring ongoing support. Assist in creating and refining standard operation procedures. Liaise with the Thundergrid help desk to resolve customer queries and concerns. Maintain customer information, sales history, quote status, and sales projections on a CRM. Create long-lasting partnerships in relevant sectors. Assist with ad hoc customer service and sales inquiries. Play a role in pricing strategies for market segments. Share industry knowledge and seek out business development opportunities. Relationship Building / Partner Management : Represent Thundergrid with industry stakeholders across New Zealand, including government bodies and industry associations. Drive customer relationship management, creating excellent executive-level customer relationships. Lead major strategic sales opportunities in New Zealand and Australia. Develop partner and supplier relations to ensure successful business execution. Key Metrics Performance in this role includes annual sales financial objectives and forecast accuracy. What we are looking for : You will bring a minimum of 5 years' extensive sales experience, ideally in the energy, motor trade, or property sector. You will have experience in growing relationships at all levels, strong presentation skills, and the ability to report back in writing and analytics. You will have a proven track record in delivering results in a B2B environment, be a confident communicator, and have the ability to work autonomously and in a team. Additionally, you will be familiar with CRM systems (we use Hubspot) and have a clean NZ driving license for attending customer meetings.
