Our client, a leading traffic management company, is looking for a motivated Business Development Manager (BDM)to join our team in the new year. This is an exciting opportunity to drive business growth, build strong relationships, and make a real impact across multiple depots.Role Overview:Title: Business Development ManagerLocation: Covering our four lower North Island depots with frequent travel (Based out of Palmerston North or Wellington)Industry: Civil / Traffic ManagementStart Date: January 2024Base Salary: $100,000 + up to $50,000 commission (flexible for the right candidate)Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement a sales strategy to drive business expansion across multiple depots.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the civil and construction sectors.Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base.Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of services.Negotiate contracts, close deals, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.Regularly report on sales performance and progress to senior leadership.About You:A background in civil construction or traffic management is highly desirable.Proven sales experience, with a track record of securing new business and achieving targets.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to travel frequently and manage your time effectively across various depots.Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.Salary & Benefits:Competitive Salary:$100,000 + up to $50,000 commission (flexible for the right candidate)Performance-Based Bonuses: Attractive commission structure based on new business secured or revenue generated, paid out quarterly.Company Vehicle: A fully maintained company vehicle to support your travel requirements.Other Benefits: Ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities.The ideal candidate for this role can be based out of Palmerston North or Wellington.
