We're excited to seek a highly motivated and driven Business Development Manager to come and join our team. Our head office is in Blenheim, and this role can be based in Blenheim or Christchurch.The Role:As the Business Development Manager at CMT Group, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders and developing strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for increasing the company's market presence in the Civil and Construction industry across the Canterbury and Marlborough regions, contributing to the company's overall success. You will be based in either Christchurch or Blenheim, and will have a requirement to travel to and from these two locations.Key responsibilities will include:Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities to achieve revenue growth targets.Build and maintain strong working relationships with potential and existing clients.Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions to client needs and ensure successful project delivery.See new tenders through to lodging, follow up and till tender award. Follow through on tender debrief if tender not successful.Provide regular reports on business development activities, opportunities and forecasts.What we are looking for:3+ years of sales and business development experience, preferably in the Civil and/or Construction Industry.Strong understanding of the Canterbury or Marlborough business environment and market landscape.Ability to identify new opportunities and markets.Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work remotely and be self-driven and motivated.Willingness to travel frequently, either for day trips or occasional extended travel as required.Proficiency in using CRM systems.Relevant tertiary qualification in business or a related field is preferred.What is in it for you?Competitive salary, including performance-based incentives.$500 sign-on bonus*Company vehicle.PPE and Uniform provided.Opportunities for career development and growth.Work for a company where strong values are at the core of their business.Flexibility to be based in either Christchurch or Blenheim.If you are passionate about business development and are ready to take on an exciting new challenge with a growing company, we want to hear from you.If you're interested in this position and think you would be a good fit, please apply with your most up-to-date CV and Cover Letter.
