So, if you're seeking to join a company that is a market leader, offering opportunities for growth and a focus on your development and success, now is the time to join Directed!About the roleAs our Business Development Manager, you will focus on developing your sales pipeline across our current retail channels whilst also identifying new prospects, making introductions and owning the sales process.
This role brings with it autonomy to truly own your categories, driving the sales strategy and execution.Meet your new teamOur retail Sales team leads the growth of our business, working collaboratively with the product development, supply chain and marketing teams to bring new, innovative and in-demand products to the market.
With many experienced BDM's, Account Managers and Sales Administrators, you'll be joining a highly motivated, fun and collegiate team that shares ideas, network relationships, challenges and success, and leverages insights and analytics to drive sales growth.How you will make an impactAs our Business Development Manager, you will focus your efforts to expand our sales and market offering across product categories, introducing new brands and products to the market.
This will see you:Identify and engage new national retail and independent sales channels.Develop a pipeline and manage all sales activity to drive sales.Network, maintaining close working relationships with clients to provide mutual value.Support the success of your clients/channels both directly and with our field Account Management teams.Partner with demand planners in S&OP meetings to accurately forecast your stock orders and sales.Work methodically and pragmatically to manage your sales activity and metrics, then achieve your targets.The successful candidateEnabling your success is your enthusiasm and energy, understanding the value of collaboration and working in a dynamic team to drive sales and customer success.
Additionally, you will:Be a new business development champion, demonstrating bringing on new direct channels and accounts within the retail sector.Have successfully met and exceeded set targets through exceptional account and relationship management.Have worked with product and marketing teams and be skilled in quickly understanding the opportunity for new products in how to bring them to market.Be highly organised with exceptional call, activity planning, and presentation skills.Understand and enjoy the benefits of working onsite, sharing challenges, ideas and wins with a supportive team.Be a self-starter, driven and ambitious to succeed.The perks & benefitsWhy Directed?
