Business Development Manager – Gas Detection Looking for a fresh start in 2024? We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager – Gas Detection to join our team of APC Technical Solutions experts at NZ Safety Blackwoods. Our Technical Solutions division is privileged to represent multiple key industry names for instrumentation, gas detection, hose & fittings and flow control – and we invite you to join us! Located in Auckland, your role will be paramount to providing high quality business development & project management service and delivery for all nationwide Gas Detection projects with cross over into our other technical categories. We are looking for a team player who is willing to actively target and win new projects for our business. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Find and develop potential customers for the supply of Gas Detection Understand all technical requirements in each of our specialist product ranges to achieve long-term sustainable growth and profitability. Achieve budgeted sales and margins through the establishment and management of relationships with potential external and internal customers. Overseeing all aspects of projects and ensuring they are managed effectively and deliver quality outcomes within intended timelines and customer requirements. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Ability to understand RFP / Tender documents and respond within time constraints. Ensure strict adherence to company policies and safety protocols in all work conducted. Embrace a growth mindset, constantly seeking opportunities for continuous improvement. Skills and Experience: Minimum of 5 years' relevant industry experience in Gas Detection (management, technical product sales, account management and / or brand management) Demonstrated understanding of customer satisfaction and project management. Demonstrated expertise in consultative sales and effective negotiation techniques. Proven track record in building and maintaining business relationships. Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills. A proactive and self-motivated approach to work. Proficient in time management and adept problem-solving. Highly organised professional with a strong commitment to work ethic.
